Do people consider you a "control freak"? Well if you are an Event Planner you MUST be in control! Don't get it twisted - you must delegate or you'll get nothing done or go crazy, but you must also be clear in your expectations and know where assignments stand at all times.

Today I thought I was  living the Pennsylvania Dutch saying "The hurrier I go, the behinder I get". We had a meeting yesterday during which I emphasized the importance of keeping me - the Coordinator - informed and that no one should commit to anything out of the norm, unless they speak with me and I approve it beforehand.

This morning I wake up to an email from someone who didn't attend the meeting letting me know she had contacted two people and asked for their input. One of these persons has already been contacted by another committee member and the other I planned to contact this morning to let them know we had chosen another vendor!

I don't like "messiness"!
